#65a Under Thunder Trail
6/2 We set out after Sunday brunch to go on what we thought was Under Thunder Trail. Turns out it was #65 PowerLine Trail. It was a nice flat trail.
A view of the mountains from the trail.

from the book: " The current parking lot was still covered by the glacier (by this spot) when the powerhouse was built in 1913 and 1914". That is quite impressive since now the start of the glacier is 1-2 miles further from the Glacier Visitor Center which is about a mile away from this spot.
This little water flow must really rock to carve out that much of the rock!
Once we realized we were on the powerline trail, we decided to try again for the Under Thunder Trail and this is what we found.

Doesn't it look like the beginning of the movie The Proposal where Sandra Bullock is riding her stationary bike while watching this on the TV?
I would definitely recommend biking this trail.
At the top (ish?) by the City water tank.
They look like giant legos!
Some history on this trail: " During World War II, the troupes were housed as well as other military activities were carried out in the area."
